How we are funded, how to verify a licence yourself, what GamStop does, and why we only cover two brands.
About this website
Who runs Chavoloop?
Chavoloop is an independent editorial publication established in 2026 and operated from the United Kingdom. Our reviews are written by a small in-house team. Editorial contacts and a postal address are published in full on our About and Contact pages.
How does Chavoloop make money?
Some outbound links to the operators we review are commercial affiliate links. If you register with a brand after following one, we may receive a fee from that operator. You never pay more, and the fee is paid by the operator out of its own marketing budget. Commercial arrangements do not influence scores or written conclusions — our full Disclosure page explains the separation between editorial and commercial in detail.
Do operators pay for a better score?
No. Scores are produced from a fixed six-criterion framework applied identically to every brand, and no operator is given advance sight of a review or the ability to amend one. If we cannot say something positive about a brand, we do not publish a review of it rather than writing a dishonest one.
Can I register or deposit money on Chavoloop?
No. We are a review publication only. You cannot open an account, deposit, stake or withdraw anything here. Every real-money activity takes place on the licensed operator's own website, under its terms and its licence.
Licensing and legality
Are the brands you review legally licensed in Great Britain?
Yes. Both BetBlink and Betreels operate under Gambling Commission licence account number 39335. You can confirm this yourself on the Commission's public register — we link directly to the entry from every review, and we would encourage you to check it rather than take our word for it.
How do I verify a licence myself?
Visit the Gambling Commission public register, search for the account number or the domain name, and confirm the status reads as active. A legitimate British operator always displays its licence number in its own footer, and that number must match the register entry. If it does not, do not deposit.
What is the legal minimum age?
Eighteen. It is a criminal offence in Great Britain for anyone under 18 to gamble, and for an operator to allow it. Every licensed brand runs age verification before a first deposit is accepted, and accounts found to belong to under-18s are closed with stakes returned and winnings forfeited.
Do you cover unlicensed or offshore operators?
Never. We only review brands holding a current Gambling Commission licence. Unlicensed operators offer no dispute resolution, no guarantee of segregated customer funds, and no route to compensation if something goes wrong.
Safer gambling
What is GamStop and should I use it?
GamStop is the free national self-exclusion scheme for Great Britain. One registration blocks your access to every operator licensed to offer online gambling to British customers, for a chosen period of six months, one year or five years. Every brand we review is integrated with it. If you feel your gambling is no longer under your control, GamStop is the single most effective step available to you.
What limits should I set before I start?
Set a deposit limit before your first deposit, not after. Decide the amount you are prepared to lose entirely, set that figure as a monthly cap, and never raise it in the middle of a session. Add a session time reminder as well — time distortion is a well-documented risk, and a reminder costs nothing.
Where can I get free, confidential help?
The National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133 and answers 24 hours a day. GamCare, BeGambleAware and Gamblers Anonymous all provide free support, and none of them will ask you to pay for anything. Our Responsible Gaming page lists every route to help in full.
Is there such a thing as a winning system?
No. Every legitimate casino product has a built-in mathematical advantage for the operator, and no staking pattern, sequence or piece of software changes it. Anyone selling you a system is selling you nothing. Treat any money staked as the cost of entertainment and never as an investment or a route to recovering a loss.
Reviews and methodology
How often are reviews updated?
Every review carries a "last reviewed" date. We revisit each brand at least quarterly, and immediately if there is a material change — a licence condition, a change of ownership, a withdrawal of a payment method or a pattern of complaints we can substantiate.
What do the scores actually measure?
Six weighted criteria: withdrawal speed, library breadth, live dealer quality, mobile experience, support responsiveness and safer gambling controls. Each is scored out of five from hands-on testing with our own funded accounts, then combined into the headline figure. The per-criterion breakdown is published on every review so you can weigh it differently to us if your priorities differ.
Why do you only review two brands?
Because we would rather publish two reviews we have genuinely tested than fifty we have not. Each brand we cover is used with our own money over a period of weeks, including a real withdrawal. Coverage grows as testing is completed, not before.
I disagree with a review. Can I tell you?
Yes, please do. Corrections and firsthand experiences that contradict our findings are genuinely useful, and we publish corrections openly when we get something wrong. Use the Contact page.
